If you own a Web3 TLD on Freename, you can now take full control of your domain pricing using the Custom Pricing feature. This functionality allows you to personalize how domains under your TLD are priced - depending on the length of the name, the use of emojis, repeated numbers, and more.
It’s a smart and strategic way to attract more registrations or increase your profits - and it’s available directly inside your Freename dashboard.
What Is the Custom Pricing Feature?
Custom Pricing is a built-in Freename functionality that lets you adjust the price of domain names under your TLDs based on various categories:
- Number of characters (from 1 to 8+ digits)
- Repeated numbers (like 111.metaverse)
- Emoji-based domains
- Letter-only names
- Alphanumeric combinations
You can easily fine-tune each category’s pricing to match your goals - whether it’s making your TLD more accessible or positioning it as a premium brand.
Note: You cannot adjust the price for popular or premium keywords.
How Much Can You Change Domain Prices?
Freename gives you the flexibility to modify prices as follows:
- Lower the default price by up to 50%
- Increase the price by up to 100%
This means a base price of $100 can be reduced to $50 or increased to $200. Each change is shown clearly in the dashboard with:
- Freename’s base price
- Your updated price
- The percentage of change (positive or negative)
All adjustments are made through a simple and intuitive slider interface.
How to Use Custom Pricing in Your Dashboard
Here’s how to activate and configure the Custom Pricing feature:
- Go to the "Portfolio/Web3 TLDs" section and select "Manage" on your TLD.
- Go to the Pricing tab, then select Custom Pricing.
- Choose the category (e.g., 2 numbers, 3 same numbers, emojis).
- Use the slider to raise or lower the price.
- Confirm your changes by entering the OTP code sent to your registered email.
- Click to save - and your new pricing is live!
Now, every new domain registration under your TLD will use your custom prices based on category.
