Domains Registrations Quarterly report (Q2 - 2025)
As of the end of June 2025, the combined domain base for.com and .net reached approximately 170.5 million registrations. This reflects a slight increase of 0.7 million domains, or 0.41%, compared to the 169.8 million recorded at the end of March 2025. On a year-over-year basis, however, the total declined by 0.1 million, representing a marginal decrease of about 0.05% from the 170.6 million registered in June 2024.
In terms of distribution, .com domains accounted for 157.9 million registrations, while .net domains totaled 12.6 million. New registrations for these two TLDs in Q2 2025 amounted to 10.4 million, up from 10.1 million in the previous quarter and 9.2 million in the same quarter of the prior year.
